Welcome to the Anguilla Optimist Club official website.  The main purpose of the club is to encourage the development of youth, in the belief that the giving of one's self in service to others will advance the well being of humankind, community life and the world

                                                    HISTORY

The Optimist Club of Anguilla was introduced to Anguilla in December of 1995.  The credit for the birth of the Anguilla Club can be largely given to Claudius Preville who was then associated with the Optimist Club of Antigua.  During the month of December 1995 some 36 persons officially pledged their support to the work of an Optimist Club in Anguilla thereby becoming Charter members. The Club later received its official charter on 16 March 1996. 

Today the Optimist Club of Anguilla has 55 members more than half of whom are charter members.
